Ribbons might not jump out at you at the scrapbook store, but you would be surprised at how versatile it is when you add it to your layouts. From silky to textured, you will find a huge verity of ribbons to add to your layouts. Find a ribbon that is themed to fit your layouts. From the printed ABC’s and Rulers to Soccer balls and themed sayings, there is a ribbon for every occasion.

Remember to find a ribbon that best suites the mood and the theme you want with your layouts. IF you can’t find the perfect ribbons or colors, make your own. On most ribbons, you can use an acrylic stamp to add a pattern, or use the ink pad and drag your ribbon through it get the color and shade that you want for your layout. With the stamps and the ink pads, your options are unlimited.

There are several different ways to add ribbons to your layouts. Try using them as a boarder around your page or pictures. Add embellishment to the corners of your frame to secure it or as extra accents. Add them to your journaling tags or use them to create a hanger for photos. You can also use the ribbons as accents themselves by just adding a bow or a knot to the page.

When adding ribbons to your pages, it is very important that you use the right adhesives to secure them to your pages. Use two-sided tapes to hold down to the pages. If you are using brads or eyelets to add a little character, make sure you also use the tapes to prevent them from moving when you add them to the page. By using a good adhesive, it will give you the security of your ribbons staying put for years to come.
